Sustainability
Products developed with the environment in mind
Every product leaves an ecological footprint throughout its life cycle. The extent to which this occurs depends on a number of factors. These include, among other things, the extraction of recyclable materials, material properties, production conditions, useful life, transport routes and recyclability. A corporate strategy designed for sustainability is the cornerstone for improving the environmental properties of the product range as a whole. At Caparol, we see ourselves as a driver for sustainable solutions and focus on five core areas - from resource conservation and durability to the logistics chain.
Our pillars for more sustainability
That means longevity for us
In the case of surface coatings in particular, the building fabric underneath can be permanently protected thanks to the high resistance of the product. This longevity not only saves costs, but also protects resources and the environment by significantly lengthening renovation cycles.
Not only do our high-quality plasters and facade paints serve to preserve buildings, but also the use of Caparol interior paints, flat facings, wood protection products and facade systems

That means environmental friendliness for us
Environmental protection is a top priority at Caparol. Our philosophy is to develop more and more sustainable products and systems. With well-founded specialist knowledge, the use of environmentally harmful substances in products can be avoided and alternatives can be researched at an early stage.
Whether for interiors or facades - with our environmentally friendly product solutions we make an important contribution to sustainable buildings.

That means conservation of resources for us
Our limited resources are becoming more and more precious. Through the increasing use of renewable raw materials, we can make a contribution to resource conservation.
We also focus on sustainable packaging. We have set ourselves the goal of reducing the proportion of new plastic in our containers to a minimum and at the same time promoting the use of recycled material.

That means a sustainable supply chain for us
At Caparol we are actively committed to environmentally friendly logistics. Our supplier code and the OneWayContainer system are examples of our contribution to a resource-efficient supply chain.
For us, sustainability in the supply chain also means reducing CO2 emissions and focusing on environmentally friendly drives.
